The Bosnian forward has been coveted by many of Europe's top clubs ever since his 26 league goals in the 2008-09 season fired the unfashionable Wolves to the Bundesliga title.
Dzeko has repeatedly his desire to move to Milan, but Juve will are refusing to give up on the 6'4" hitman despite not being able to offer him Champions League football next season.
Marotta told Corriere dello Sport: "Dzeko is a dream that is not going away.
"He is a target that we will continue to follow until it is possible.
"We are aware of the challenge we have in order to acquire him."
Dzeko has a 40 million euro (£33.5m) release clause in his contract at Wolfsburg which runs until June 2013.
Marotta said: "The price set by Wolfsburg is high and the other clubs that want him have more resources than we have.
"But we are happy that the Bosnian forward has expressed an interest to one day join the Bianconeri.
"It means that the appeal remains strong."
