The City of London Corporation is launching a new, pan-Londoncampaign to get more people involved in sport and activity with oneyear to go until the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Green to Gold, which has been awarded the Inspire Mark by LOCOG,will highlight how members of the public can use open spaces for avast range of activities suited to their lifestyle andinterests.
Legendary Olympian Tessa Sanderson and Team GB hockey playerRichard Smith, who won a European gold medal with England in 2009,will be present on the 6 July launch (Wednesday, 12-4pm) atGuildhall Yard. Both 2012 Mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, willalso be making a rare appearance in the Square Mile.
Events will be held in Epping Forest, Burnham Beeches, HampsteadHeath, City Commons, West Ham Park, and City Gardens during themorning before groups of cyclists depart from each location tocycle into the heart of the City: Guildhall.

These include: TableTennis, British Military Fitness, Hula Hooping, Ball Skills, and anEco Bike challenge.
The City of London Corporation owns and manages 10,700 acres offree open spaces in and around London for the recreation andenjoyment of the public and as breathing spaces from built-updevelopments.
